The Importance of Leaf Testing
Leaf analysis complements soil testing and clearly indicates the amount of nutrients absorbed and stored in the leaves. Additionally, the nutrient levels in leaves can provide insight into the overall health of the plant, allowing for a more balanced and effective fertilization program.
In addition, leaf testing helps assess the results of foliar spraying.

Comprehensive Leaf Testing Package
- Parameters marked with an asterisk are not included by default in the Comprehensive Leaf Testing Package, but they can be measured upon request.
- The circle represents the measurement of that specific parameter in the plant sample.
Leaf Analysis
Leaves, as the plant’s internal production centers and sites of nutrient utilization, play a vital role in assessing and understanding the plant’s status and nutrition. A key advantage of leaf analysis is the existence of reliable standards for sampling timing and optimal parameters for each period. By identifying nutrient deficiencies promptly and correcting them, maximum plant productivity can be achieved. Therefore, all chemical parameters involved in plant nutrition, as well as factors that may cause toxicity or reduce plant performance, are analyzed and measured in the Plant Health section of the Kerman Zamin Laboratory.
Sampling and Special Considerations
The sampling time varies for different plants; therefore, adhering to the sampling timing recommended in reputable scientific references has a significant impact on the interpretation of leaf test results. Leaf samples must be prepared according to standard procedures immediately after collection. It is strongly recommended that this be done in the laboratory. If it is not possible to send the leaf samples to the laboratory promptly, please contact the laboratory specialists for proper guidance.
